Welcome to our Formula-Three Reading, Spelling, Learning Program’s website. Our program’s name, Formula-Three relates to the three formulas — reading, spelling and learning — that drive our instructional system. Our instructional materials and teaching strategies are research based and are used in:       supplemental Reading First core reading programs,       Special Education Reduction Referral programs,       school-wide programs to boost scholastic achievement for upper-elementary and middle- school students,       school-wide programs that close the achievement gap,       programs of remediation for students in grades three through adult, and       programs for teaching English language reading, spelling and language processing skills to native speakers of Spanish who are emerging speakers of English. In the pages that follow there is information concerning the nature of our instructional system, and studies from programs in schools with diverse populations of elementary, middle and high school students. You will discover why many students after exiting their school’s core reading programs have a pressing need for an advanced reading, spelling, learning program like Formula-Three if they are to succeed academically in the grades that follow.
